Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi is on a two-day tour to coal-rich states Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh starting Wednesday amid the dry duel scarcity on the nation’s energy vegetation. The minister will on Wednesday evaluate and go to three mines-Gevra, Dipka and Kusmunda in Chhattisgarh — of Coal India arm South Japanese Coalfields Ltd and can maintain assembly with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in response to an official. On Thursday, the minister will evaluate the efficiency of Coal India arm Central Coalfields Ltd and Bharat Coking Coal Ltd and go to Ashoka mine of CCL, the official mentioned.

Joshi had on Tuesday mentioned the federal government is making full efforts to satisfy the coal demand of energy producers and careworn that steps are being taken to quickly ramp up the dry-fuel provide to 2 million tonne per day, from the present general dispatch of 1.95 million tonne per day. The minister had assured all stakeholders of the coal provide required for energy era.
