COLOMBO: Shammi Silva was elected uncontested for a second time period as president of Sri Lanka Cricket within the polls held on Thursday.
Silva’s election as president was declared by the Election Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket. He might be on the helm of affairs until 2023.
Silva was first elected president in 2019, and had served as vice-president earlier than that.

“I’m grateful for the membership for electing me uncontested because the President of Sri Lanka Cricket,” stated Silva who assumed cost instantly.
